Creation
Theatre Company brings Christmas to Oxford’s The North Wall this winter with a
brand new version of ‘A Christmas Carol’

This Christmas the company will
conjure up an atmospheric Dickensian London, in the most appropriate setting of
The North Wall’s converted Victorian swimming pool. Having spent many thoroughly
happy and creative Christmases at MINI Plant Oxford, this year Creation felt it
was time for a new adventure. Creation’s new version of A Christmas Carol will
be performed at The North Wall from 8 December 2011 to 7 January 2012 with press
night on Tuesday 13 December. http://www.oxfordprospect.co.uk/A-Christmas-Carol.html

Rapunzel, or, The Magic Pig,

Rapunzel, or, The Magic Pig,
by the Creation Theatre Company
   // //

3 December 2010
directed by Charlotte Conquest.

Anybody who saw the Creation Theatre Company’s Christmas entertainment given at the Cowley Mini-plant in the Mirror Tent last year will be keenly looking forward to this one. And they will not be disappointed.

Once again, the company has taken a traditional story and turned it into a high-spirited medley of mime, dance, music, acrobatics, comedy, fantasy costumes and special effects of sound and lighting. The music has been specially written by Jack Merivale for the script by Annie Siddons. The result is very special. Boldly mixing old and new, princes and clowns, puppetry and trapdoor surprises, this is more than a play, more than a show, more than just another pantomime: it is a creative theatrical event, and truly magical. http://www.oxfordprospect.co.uk/Rapunzel,-or,-The-Magic-Pig,.html
