Once regular visitors to Stratford Jazz this excellent Midlands combo has not appeared for us since September 2007. They have built up a strong international following with their invigorating live performances and recordings. Great to welcome back this stylish outfit which combines an intriguing mix of gypsy jazz, flamenco, classical and contemporary jazz – everything from Django Reinhardt to Rodrigo to Chic Corea!

Bryan and Chris first met when they were both members of jazz-hiphop outfit, Us3 and have recently released their duo album, “Green” through “ProperNote”. Tonight they are supported by Sean and Mark and will feature tunes from the new album plus other originals and choice standards – a varied programme of modern jazz ranging from ballads and straight-ahead jazz original to jazz fusion with electronic touches.

Duncan Eagles/Mark Perry Quintet
Two young rising stars on the UK jazz scene front this impressive quintet. Duncan Eagles will be known to Stratford Jazz fans for his appearances with Partikel etc and Mark Perry is a perfect front-line partner. The group has just released its debut album “Road Ahead” on the prestigious F-IRE label which promises to be one of the most exciting jazz releases of 2013.
