New rail route planned between Oxford and London

Oxford – Since 1995 UK rail passenger journeys have risen by 67%. Since 2003 rail passengers at Bicester North and Oxford stations have increased by 40%. The busy Paddington main line cannot take many more trains. Whenever it has engineering works, passengers are transferred to replacement buses because there is no alternative rail route. Oxford and west Oxfordshire need a second London rail link. To read more
