DOES THE TREATMENT HURT?
Most of the time no, in fact most people find the treatment relaxing and they feel they are walking on air after there treatment. But there are occasions when there may be a little bit of pain, ingrowing nails, or troublesome corns for instance, it’s better to have a few seconds of pain rather than weeks.
CAN YOU CURE EVERYTHING ASSOIATED WITH THE FOOT?
No we cannot, one of the first things we are taught in our trainining is never to go beyond your scope of practice, if the problem cannot be resolved here we have other health professionals who we would refer you on too who would specialize in that field, all part of the treatment plan.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I VISIT?
It is important to have your feet checked regularly, rather like your teeth, the time scale you visit to your Chiropodist all depends on your circumstances, about every 4-12 weeks is normal.
DO YOU DO HOME VISITS?
Yes, a home visit is possible, we understand that not everybody is as mobile as they used to be for some reason or another in fact 1 third of our treatments are of a Domiciliary nature. We have over 40 such patients in Leicestershire and over 100 in oxford shire you only have to ask to see if visits can be fitted in.
I HAVE DRIED CRACKED HEELS WHAT CAN BE DONE?
Treating dry cracked heels usually begins treating the underlying cause. Some people naturally have dry skin and must constantly take steps to ensure there feet are moisturized at all times. Callus is removed and any cracks (Fissures) are carefully debrided and a suitable moisturizer is applied making sure infection is not allowed to enter the Fissures.
IM SO BUSY, I HAVENT GOT TIME TO VISIT!!!
Yes you have, we open as early as 7am and can even stay open a little later than usual to catch you busy commuters.
