Oxford Bus Users Demand Planners to Listen

Oxford needs a new bus station for bus services

Bus passengers want the Westgate Centre redeveloped, and they will welcome a John Lewis in Oxford. But they fear that closing Queen Street to all buses will make access to and across central Oxford even worse than it is now.

Bus Users UK Oxford representative Hugh Jaeger said“Buses in Queen Street cause no congestion and no accidents. Diverting them to St Aldate’s, which is already too crowded, and Castle Street, which is not central enough, is pointless and counterproductive.”
