Ahead of the Edinburgh Festival, Oxford Playhouse will be playing host to two comedians – Andy Zaltzman and Dan Atkinson on Thursday 10 July at 8pm.
Andy Zaltzman, Oxford University College alumni and former editor of the Oxford Student newspaper, boldly unbuttons the cloak of civilisation, but is perplexed & perturbed by what he finds lurking beneath. Zaltzman has starred in his own shows at the Edinburgh Festival, performed sell out runs as the host of Political Animal (which transferred to the BBC) and written for several series of Bremner, Bird & Fortune on Channel 4.
Dan Atkinson has been described as a ‘shambolic genius’ and in this warm-up show ahead of the Edinburgh Festival he “flicks two fingers up to the man. Unfortunately the wrong two, and he ends up looking very stupid”. This stand-up performance from Atkinson is entitled The Credit Crunch and Other Biscuits.
