Rose Hill plans on display in community
Friday 21 September 2007
The plans for the Rose Hill regeneration project will be on display in Rose Hill Community Centre for residents to view and to comment on.
The plans will on display on Tuesday 25 September between 3pm and 7pm when representatives from Taylor Wimpey, Oxford Citizens Housing Association and Oxford City Council will be available to answer any enquiries from the public.
The re-development at Rose Hill will see a total of 254 new homes built with 113 for private sale by Taylor Wimpey and 141 affordable homes for Oxford Citizens Housing Association.
This incorporates new sheltered accommodation which will provide 26 one and two bedroom flats for older residents who need support.
Taylor Wimpey, the home builder for the scheme, submitted the plans for detailed planning approval earlier this month and it is anticipated that a decision will be made at Strategic Development Control Committee in October.
The applications will first go through the formal public consultation process and be discussed at South East Area Committee.
Subject to the planning permission being approved work is anticipated to start on the site in January 2008.
